Met de groeten van E-Lijn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Guys n girz, Ik gooi het maar weer even in de groep, wie weet dat iemand iets leuks met het volgende kan: Ik zag ongeveer één week geleden op TV-Zuid-Braband een item over de Kalmthoutse heide. (Ik heb eens op de kaart gekeken en deze heide strekt zich min of meer uit over NL en B) Ik ben afgelopen zomer op de Kalmthoutse heide in Belgie geweest. Een héél mooi natuurgebied. Op TV werd de inzet van vrijwilligers belicht, die samen met de brandweer de heide bewaakten i.v.m. brand. Het was lang droog geweest en het was "Alarm fase A". Doorlopend reden ze rond met wagens en klommen ze in hun torens om uit te kijken. De geinterviewde Brandweerbeambte zei dat hij het jammer vond dat er geen geld was om met vliegtuigen te patrouilleren. Ja, en dan gaat er bij mij dus een lampje branden. Met een parapent, een lierinstallatie en toestemming die georganiseerd is door, of i.s.m. de lokale brandweer, kan je mooie vluchtjes maken en de zaak aardig overzien! You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Ik kijk voor jou of er niets verdachts te zien is, en jij laat ons een dagje mensen ophijsen tot ... meter. Desnoods een paar tandemvluchtjes met de heren zelf... En als ze dit probleem bij Roosendaal af en toe hebben, zullen ze het ook nog wel op andere plaatsen in NL hebben. (Nu overigens niet meer schat ik, want er is vandaag het een en ander neergeslagen). Dus: wanneer er mensen zijn die: - de behoefte hebben eens op een andere plek te lieren, - die zin hebben hun lierinstallatie over die afstand te versleuren, - hier een kans zien hogere allowed air space te krijgen, - met een ondergelopen weiland zitten (gelijktijdig niet erg voor de hand liggend overigens), - anderszins op zoek zijn naar een stek, gaat uw gang en werk het idee uit! Zaterdag moesten we op de oefenhelling soaren omdat er lage bewolking hing. Zondag ging het op Coo west lekker omhoog tot 600 meter boven de start, soms moest je even een buitje laten passeren maar daarna ging het weer goed omhoog. Na 3 x een toplanding met ongeveer 2 uur op de teller erbij zijn we gestopt. Jammer dat jullie het gemist hebben maar mischien gaan we het over twee weken nog eens proberen. Zeg je familiebezoekjes maar alvast af met de medeling dat je hele belangrijke dingen moet doen ofzo. Maar zijn er in Limburg of op de veluwe geen "natuurlijke" stekken waar gesoard kan worden (al is het maar heel af en toe)? Additional incidents with the chrome plated automatic paragliding carabiners from Austri-Alpin (20.03.02) After we got notified in two cases, that carabiners of this type broke, two other pilots told us that they had appearent cracks, almost all the way through the material, on their carabiners. The use of these carabiners is deadly dangerous !!! The DHV encourages everybody to pay attention to the SAFETY NOTE from 14.Dec.2001 Also we like to ask every pilot for help: Please inform all pilots about the dangerous stuff. Not everybody gets the DHV info- and internet publications ! Talk to the pilots right on the spot if you see them using these carabiners ! Even if there are no appearent damages, it is possible that the chrome plating caused internal damages of the aluminum material. Therefore do not fly with these carabiners! Competitions deleted are: Veltins Cup 00, European Championships 00, PWC Mieussy 00, Ball Open 00, PWC Chamonix 00, Polish Open 00. The top 3 remain the same, with Jean-Marc Caron (FRA) in number 1 slot, Alex Hofer (SUI) in 2nd and Steve Cox (SUI) in 3rd, Tadano Shoichiro (JPN) takes 4th place from Hans Bollinger (SUI) down 1 place in 5th and Patrick Berod moves up a place to 6th. Jin Oh Kim (KOR) maintains his climb to make it into the top 10 in equal 7th place from 12th, this makes a rise of 24 places in the last 2 months. Enda Murphy has also made the most of the Southern season, with a gain of 24 places in just 1 month into equal 7th place. Joos Achim (GER) drops one place to 9th but the best gain of places goes to Craig Collings (NZL) who jumps 42 places into 10th place with his excellent performances at the Australian Open and Manilla Open. In the nations ranking, Switzerland, France and Japan remain in the top 3 slots but South Africa jumps into 4th place (from 7th), 95 points ahead of Germany (5th) with Great Britain remaining in 6th. New Zealand has an even bigger jump into 7th place from 13th, Australia moves up one place to 9th and Austria falls 5 places to 9th place. Korea regains its 10th place, up 2 places. The Paragliding ranking scheme has now topped the 900 mark with 911 pilots from 42 countries. ACCURACY Accuracy rankings see the addition of the Alpe Adria Open. The top 10 is still comprised solely of Slovenian pilots. Matjaz Feraraic finally overtakes Simeon Klokocovnik by 1 point, with Matjaz Sluga staying in 3rd, 13 points behind. Jurij Vertacnik and David Sluga move up a place to 4th and 5th (equal) while Franc Unic drops a place to be equal 5th. Tomaz Gorisek remains in 7th place but Damjan Pregelj gains 3 places to be 7th. Jaka Gorenc regains his top 10 place at 9th and Janez Nose has the biggest gain jumping 6 places to round off the top 10. HANG GLIDING There are no new results but the Podbrezova cup 00, the Brasil HG masters 00 and the French Open 00 are deleted. There are no changes in the top 10 places with Gerholf Heinrichs maintaining 1st place with 253 points. In the nations ranking France maintains its lead with USA (2nd) displacing Australia (3rd). There are 531 pilots ranked from 37 countries. CLASS 2 There are some changes to this class due to competitions being deleted; the Pre Wag 00, US C2 Nationals, European C2 Championships, German C2 Open, French Open. The top 3 remain the same, with Brian Porter (USA), Johann Posch (AUT) 2nd & Michael Huppert (SUI) 3rd. Steve Elkins (GBR) gains 3 places to 4th and Davis Straub (USA) maintains 5th place. There are 62 pilots ranked from 11 countries Results not yet received (and therefore not included in WPRS yet) are the Andradas (HG) Nationals and the Il Real Minas (PG) Open, Venezuela is suspended from competitions. Ik heb hier al vrij veel gevlogen meestal s'middags om een uur of drie begint het er echt goed te gaan echt goed soarwerk en ver boven de top uit komen. Als de wind zuid is is er in de buurt een andere wat minder mooie startplaats op een zuid helling bij het dorp Lesches en Dios hier is het landings veld wat minder maar je kunt er over het algemeen goed omhoog komen en wegvliegen. Omdat ze graag het huis en tuin wat op wil knappen vraagt ze wat kluswerk. Tuin, huis verven wat timmerwerk, aanleg boiler ed. Bij bv 3 personen bv totaal 25 -30 uur klussen totaal. Gezinnen met kinderen zijn ivm de rust minder gewenst. (maar ... , bel maar) De omgeving is er super. Er is altijd wel wat te regelen om parapenters weg te brengen of op te halen tegen een zeer redelijk tarief. Wil je dat er voor je gekookt wordt dan is dat te regelen als ze thuis is.
